About me

That was me many years ago. I still look similar. I still do not have much hair. I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, the beautiful Atlantic coast of Canada. I was not born in Halifax. I spent mt first twenty years of my life in Hong Kong, a British colony then. I came to Halifax to study many year ago. I love it so much, I stayed, got married, and start my family here. I used to have a dog, but she went to doggie heaven.

I am a professional engineer (electrical) who happens to teach. I mainly teach mathematics and electronics in the Nova Scotia Community College. I believe strong mathematical skills is the foundation of a logical mind. Good decisions are made after careful investigation of the facts.

I believe in life long learning. It is never too old to learn. That is a Chinese saying, "Life is like rowing a boat against the current. If you do not go forward, you are getting behind." That is why I am still learning how to set up a web page in my old age.

My motto

The literal translation is "broad view" or "broad vision". My life can only improve if I can accept new challenges. Life is too short to get stuck in one mode.

The literal translation is "broad way" or "great path". My life needs to look forward and not live in the nostalgic pass. We have to learn form the pass and look forward for a better future.
